This method is not only used to speed up the actual bolting time; but is proven to be better for parallel gasket closure, the bolts, and the flange.
In early 2000 we started utilizing stud tensioner systems. This method simultaneously tensions the bolts with 50% coverage at the same time! It is safe, fast, and far more accurate. This method has higher accuracy at applying bolt loads than torquing as it has no coefficient of friction that torque generates.
